This spot was tucked away along a hiking trail. It had benches surrounding it so it was a challenge to not include those in the picture. I chose to angle my camera upwards to get a better angle and it paid off. I really love the spread of the leaves and the bright green color, I think I caught the trees just before they started to turn colors. I also tried to position the camera in different angles to get a different perspective
This photo was taken of a view I had for three years as I rowed on this spot day in and day out. I always loved looking at the trees and rivers current as I rowed past and it helped center me in reality. I liked how fast the current was flowing this day and I think I photographed that well. I tried to get the middle, fore, and background especially in the first two and I think I achieved that.
This was a little pond that was in Gallup Park. I really like the vibe of the picture and the dead tree brought more focus to the pond. There were geese on the pond but unfortunately the editing process made them a little less visible. It reminds me of a beach, the ground/beach ties in really nicely with the fresh blue water and it made me feel like it was still summer. I had to use the zoom in button on my camera because there were people fishing nearby.
This image really showed the use of middle ground, foreground, and background. The leaves were the foreground, the water was the middle ground, and the sky was the background. I think it led your eyes to focus on the water and the raging current. There was a bridge nearby and I caught it in some of the photos so I had to crop it out.
This was taken on the shore of a pond. I liked the added tree on the side because you can really see some of the details on the leaves. I think that the water was really pretty here and it reminded me of glass, this is what initially drew me in. I think also the bend in the pond in the third picture leaves a lot of mystery to the picture and is kind of whimsical. I felt very calm and happy at this spot and I think that was portrayed in this series of photos.
